Let’s set up CastCloud.

Connect your database, configure your panel and create the first administrator.

01 Server requirements

✓ PHP 8.1 or later
✓ PDO MySQL extension
✓ ctype extension
✓ Document root is the public folder
✓ Secure connection (HTTPS)
✓ Private application folder writable
✓ Setup key created

Set the domain’s document root to castcloud/public. Create your private setup key using php tools/setup.php from the CastCloud folder. On hosting without Terminal, follow INSTALL.md.

02 Database connection

Create an empty MySQL database and assign a user with privileges on that database.

03 Platform settings

Uses PHP mail through your host. Use an authorised sender. Mail delivery must be tested after installation.

04 Your administrator account

Existing database tables are never overwritten.
